1. Definitions

“We”, “us” or “our”

“Your dog” or “your dogs”

Any dog attending the field with you, whether or not you are the legal owner.

“The dog field” or “the field”

The area you have booked at The Deben Dog Hub.

“You” or “your”

The individual, business or organisation that made the booking.

3. Our contract with you

When you make a booking with us, whether online, by phone, by email or through another agreed method, you enter into a contract with The Deben Dog Hub.

That contract is subject to these Terms & Conditions. Because these terms may change, you will be asked to agree to the current version whenever you make a booking.

• Payment is taken at the time of booking.
• Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been received.
• The total price, including any applicable taxes, will be shown before you confirm your booking.
• Your booking applies only to the specific date and time shown in your confirmation.

Any dispute or claim relating to your contract with us will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.

4. Use at your own risk

The Deben Dog Hub is a natural outdoor environment and contains many of the hazards that you would expect to find in the countryside.

These may include uneven ground, vegetation, logs, slippery surfaces and plants that may be harmful if ingested.

You are responsible for deciding whether the field and its facilities are suitable for you, your dog and anybody attending with you.

5. Our responsibilities

We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our negligence or failure to exercise reasonable care.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability arising from fraud, negligence resulting in death or personal injury, misrepresentation or failure to provide our services with reasonable care and skill.

If you use the field for business purposes, we do not accept responsibility for business losses such as loss of profit, interruption or loss of business property.

Our liability insurance provider is Cliverton. Please contact us if you would like to request evidence of our liability insurance.

6. Privacy & personal information

We store information such as your name, email address and telephone number so that we can manage and communicate with you about your booking.

Payment information is processed securely by the third-party payment providers used by our booking system.

If you have separately agreed to receive marketing communications, you may occasionally hear from us about The Deben Dog Hub. You can change your preferences or unsubscribe at any time.

7. Booking & payments

• Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received.
• You must accept these Terms & Conditions before completing an online booking.
• If a booking is arranged using another method, we may ask you to confirm that you have received and accepted these terms before the booking is confirmed.
• If you book on behalf of somebody else, you are responsible for ensuring that everyone attending has read and agreed to these terms.

8. Cancellation & rescheduling

• You may cancel or reschedule your session up to 48 hours before your booked time.
• Changes can be made through your booking account or by contacting us.
• All booked sessions are non-refundable unless we cancel the session and cannot offer a suitable alternative.
• Sessions cannot be extended beyond the booked time.

We may occasionally need to close the field because of severe weather, hazardous conditions, road closures or circumstances beyond our control.

If we cancel your session, we will contact you and offer either an alternative booking or a refund.

9. Dog health, welfare & handling

• Your dog must be healthy and show no signs of illness.
• Do not bring your dog if they, or another household pet, have shown signs of illness during the previous 48 hours.
• Heavy, harsh or abusive physical or verbal handling of dogs is not permitted.
• Dogs must never be left unattended in the field.
• Your dog must have appropriate third-party liability insurance.
• If your dog is in season, please book the final session of the day where possible.
• If your dog becomes unwell in the field, please clean the affected area as thoroughly as possible and contact us if further cleaning is required.
• Toys, training aids and enrichment equipment are used at your own risk and must be appropriate for your dog's size, fitness and ability.

10. Fencing & security

• The field is surrounded by fencing and gates approximately 1.8 metres high.
• The exact height may vary slightly because the ground is uneven.
• If your dog can climb the fencing or squeeze through gaps, they must remain on a lead.
• Fences and gates are regularly inspected, but temporary damage may occasionally occur because of wildlife, weather, fallen branches or previous visitors.
• You are responsible for checking that the field appears safe and secure before releasing your dog.

If you notice any damage or breach in the fencing, please contact us immediately. If the breach means that your dog cannot safely use the field, please leave and contact us so that your booking can be rescheduled.

11. Parking & access

• Parking is available in the public car park approximately 100 metres from the dog field.
• Parking charges apply.
• The field is accessed from the car park via a public footpath.
• Entry to the field uses a coded gate.
• The gate code may change at any time.
• Your current gate PIN will normally be sent by email approximately 1–2 hours before your visit.

12. Arrival & departure

• Your session starts at the time shown on your booking.
• Please make sure the previous visitor has completely left before you enter.
• Sessions last 30 minutes.
• You and your dogs must have completely left the field by the end of your session.
• Allow enough time to retrieve your dog, collect your belongings and leave before your slot ends.
• Close and securely lock the gate when you leave.

Visitors who repeatedly overrun their booking may be refused future use of the field.

13. General etiquette & dog behaviour

• Pick up all dog waste and take it away with you.
• Take all litter home. There are no general waste bins provided.
• Keep shouting and unnecessary noise to a minimum.
• Do not allow persistent barking throughout your session.
• Do not leave food, treats or litter in the field.
• Fill any holes your dog creates using the tools provided.
• Report damaged equipment, fencing or other safety concerns as soon as possible.
• Take all toys and pieces of damaged or chewed toys away with you.

We reserve the right to ask visitors to leave if these rules are ignored and may refuse future bookings where appropriate.

14. Family, friends & children

• No more than six dogs are permitted per booking.
• You are responsible for everybody who attends your booking.
• Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times.
• Anybody under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Dog agility equipment, structures and other field equipment are not designed for human use and must not be climbed on or played with by children or adults.

15. Vegetation & environmental hazards

The Deben Dog Hub is an outdoor countryside environment.

Ground conditions may be uneven and areas of longer grass, vegetation, logs or other natural features may create trip or slip hazards.

We make reasonable efforts to identify and manage highly toxic plants, but no natural outdoor environment can be guaranteed to be completely free from vegetation that may be harmful if eaten by some dogs.

You are responsible for supervising your dog and preventing them from eating unknown plants or vegetation.

16. Enrichment & equipment

• The equipment is primarily designed for dogs.
• Only allow your dog to use equipment appropriate for their fitness, size, experience and ability.
• You are responsible for supervising your dog while equipment is being used.
• Equipment may become slippery when wet, icy or muddy and should not be used where conditions make it unsafe.
• Adults and children must not climb on equipment designed for dogs.

17. Waste removal

You must pick up all dog waste and take it away with you at the end of your visit.

18. Smoking & vaping

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited throughout The Deben Dog Hub.

Smoking creates a significant fire risk, particularly during dry weather.

Vape liquid can also be highly toxic to dogs if swallowed.

Anybody found smoking or vaping on the premises may be refused future bookings.

19. Business users

If you intend to use The Deben Dog Hub as part of a professional dog walking or other dog-related business, you may be asked to provide additional documentation.

This includes evidence of suitable public liability insurance. We may request updated documents at any time.

Please contact us before booking if you are unsure whether your proposed use is considered a business booking.

20. Changes to these terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. Please review the current version whenever you make a booking or use The Deben Dog Hub.
